But since the little girl was given a slice, just as I hoped, the two will find that she has a rather strange reaction. Her eyes widen at the smell of the pie first and then, even though Shinobu is there, she will run immediately for them and start to shovel down the piece of pie offered to her. Tears well up in her eyes, up until starts to cry. And eat. And cry and eat.
Finally, after a week of silence since Itaru found her, and refusing to open her mouth even for checkups, she'll just start to whimper, "Gamma...... Gamm....!" before she breaks out into tears entirely.
Now that her mouth is open, the two will be able to see that her tongue has been sliced down the middle, making it difficult for her to speak at all.
After that, she will coming by each day to sit by Itaru's clinic, waiting for her grandmother to come back. At least for this week, she doesn't.
